**Position Summary:**

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for the delivery of scalable and high performance BI solution that meets the business goals of Healthfirst.

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer designs and develops QlikView applications that satisfy business requirements


+ Gather and analyze business requirements, objectives and desired features. Develop a solution/framework for provisioning data for consumption by business users. Analyze, define, and document system requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, and interfaces with other systems. Analyze and estimate feasibility, time, and efforts.

+ Develop, maintain, and enhance guidelines for overall architecture design, QVD design, QVW performance tuning, Security design, etc.

+ Partner with other technical teams to develop security for QlikView applications.

+ Participate in design reviews of prototypes, and applications ready for production.

+ Develop a solution/framework for provisioning data for consumption by business users who

+ Act as the QlikView subject matter expert and assist developers with complex technical challenges.

+ Optimize QlikView script files for performance.

+ QlikView Dashboard Design & Development.

+ Advanced scripting and Integrate data from multiple data sources into a QlikView Data Model.

+ Optimization of data model for performance

+ Create test scenarios and run test to find errors and confirm program meets specifications.

+ Analyze codes to find causes of errors and revise programs.

+ Consult with clients to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to attain client approval.

+ Analyze, assist installs, and test upgrades of internally/externally developed application programs.

+ Write and maintain functional and technical specifications.

+ Write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.

+ Write documentation or review documentation written by others which describes installation and operating procedures.

+ Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with program.

+ Train end users or technical support staff to use programs. Monitor performance of programs after implementation.


**Minimum Qualifications:**

+ At least 3 years solid experience with QlikView

+ Intimate familiarity Set Analysis & all charts and graphs to determine best one to use for a given business situation

+ Must have strong data modeling experience

+ Experience with large data set and complex data models

+ Must have strong SQL knowledge and experience

+ 5+ years healthcare/managed care experience in a data modeling, analytics or report development role, strongly desired.

+ Must be independent worker and thinker.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

**Preferred Qualifications:

+ Knowledge of various BI reporting tools: Microsoft SSRS, Cognos, Business Objects, Microstrategy, etc.

+ Knowledge of various ETL tools:
Informatica, SAS ETL, Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), etc.

+ Knowledge of various Databases:
Netezza, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, etc.

+ QlikView certification preferred
